Centenary celebrations at Sangam

11 February 2010

100In 2010, the first of the 3 WAGGGS centenary year, Sangam has been sure to celebrate the centenary in every event.

Each event opens with a centenary flag ceremony where participants learn about the history of WAGGGS, renew their promises and take the Sangam Centenary Pledge.

Each event we take a picture in the figure of 100, but every time in a different script. So far we’ve had Arabic and Marathi numbering, what script will we choose next?

It wouldn’t be a celebration without a party and the “WAGGGS Games” is just that. Participants laugh, dance and even look like a pig while competing to answer questions on the centenary,

Global Action Theme and other WAGGGS missions.

We are certainly enjoying our centenary and hope you are too.

Be apart of the events in 2010, 2011 or 2012 and we can even celebrate together.
