There are four international career staff positions at Sangam – the World Centre Manager, Deputy World Centre Manager, Programme Manager and the Event Administrator. As the staff team at Sangam is small, all four career staff are actively involved in every event, working closely with the volunteers and local staff.

The World Centre Manager is responsible for the overall running of the centre. In particular, the WCM controls the finances, oversees all the staff, and maintains links with the World Bureau and WAGGGS Member Organizations.

The Deputy World Centre Manager handles the day-to-day administration of the centre. The DWCM’s responsibilities include publicity and marketing, property management, and office administration.

The Programme Manager oversees the Programme Team and is responsible for the overall running of the events. Specific duties of the PM include selection, training, supervising, and evaluating the programme volunteers, long-term event planning, coordination of events and Community action projects.

A newly created career staff position, the Event Administrator’s ( temeporarily volunteer position for May-November 08) main responsibilities involve the correspondence and organizational support offered to groups attending an international event. She is also involved in the day-to-day activitiey of the centre including assisting guests (both international and local conference and campsite visitors)and other staff. Previously a volunteer role, this is now a 12 month Development Opportunity.
