Application Procedures

Applicants must submit: 
  • The application below. This may be sent via email or post.
  • Reference forms from three people. At least one of these should be a person within Scouting/Guiding. The others may be people within Scouting/Guiding, teachers, supervisors, friends, or other people who are able to comment on the applicant’s skills and attitude. References from family members will not be accepted.

Applications will be reviewed for:   

  • Maturity  
  • Reliability
  • Independence
  • Self-motivation
  • Flexibility /Adaptability
  • Commitment to service  
  • Commitment to learning
  • Openness to other cultures  
  • Basic conversational English ability
  • TEFL - Teaching English as a Foreign Language, would be helpfull.

The six applicants who best meet these criteria will be offered places in the programme.
